To understand why this is interesting you have to know that the pool hasn't existed in years. There used to be a nice little swimming pool in the courtyard by the tea shop. It's kind of an odd place for a pool, and they have a very nice fancy modern full sized pool now, so it's long since been filled in. The Hellmans are a local family with a long association with Mills College. Members of the Mills family are actually buried on campus. There's a little graveyard if you know where to look.
